If a+b=7 and ab=10 then find a2 +b2

Given that, a+b = 7 and ab = 10

We know that (a+b)2 = a2 + 2ab + b2Therefore, a2 + b2 = (a+b)2 - 2ab

Substituting the values we get

a2+b2 =72 - 2 X 10

a2+b2=49 - 20

a2+b2= 29 Ans.
