Dear Student,
Given below is the answer to your first question. Kindly post the other in a separate thread.

The poem pictures a clear distinction between the life of a tiger in a zoo and a tiger in the jungle. According to the poet, the tiger in the zoo walks around on pads of velvet. This is used to show the comfort that is provided to him within his habitat. However, he does not seem to be happy. He walks in rage and anger. According to the poet, he is expected to move about in the wild, among the long grasses and near the water holes where he is expected to meet his prey. A tiger in the wild exhibits his wild instincts and this is what the poet expects from the tiger. He is expected to terrorise an entire village. However, he is locked up behind the bars and the vigour and energy of his body is limited to the cage. Though he is powerful, he seems weak and helpless. A tiger in the jungle is accustomed to the voices of the jungle. But the tiger in the zoo is familiar with the city and its noises. The poet portrays the displacement of a living creature from its natural habitat to a man made home. No matter what comforts he is given, he still longs for his own natural home.
